Holiday Home Decor with Teresa
Hey Ruby Rock-it Fans it's "Holiday Home Decor Day" up on the blog and i got totally inspired by all the "Everyday Bling" that we carry and decided to created some fun and easy jars to use for goodies and candles to decorate your house!  I used the lots of adhesive Bella Border Bling to decorate the glass jars and a few papers from things in my stash that i have kept.
I really had alot of fun with these jars and it really didn't take much to do them.  Most of the jars i found at a dollar store so that part was pretty inexpensive.  And then i used some of our new "Foiled Hearts and Stripes" paper to make a candle wrap in gold and black.  For this one i used the black rhinestone borders and added tulle and a pretty flower i had.  For the smaller candle holder i used the red borders around the top and then just tied a pretty bow and added a flower.  So pretty right?
And this is my favorite... I love this color blue and the papers and vellum poinsettia that i made really make it pretty.  And the rhinestone border... well that is what really makes it pop i think. This went together so fast and you could fill it with homemade candies or kisses to give to a very special someone.
Here is a quick closeup of the flower.  You could even make it up with printed vellums too.  I added glitter and stickles around the edge of my flower to make it glisten more.

And here is another fun idea to use the "Dancette" glitter papers.  They come in lots of pretty colors but i used the silver one for this to go with the blue.  The "Something Blue" wedding papers were perfect to create a wrap and then I fussy cut a border to put on it.  Then i just added another layer of the adhesive rhinestones and a vellum poinsettia flower.  This one is really going to be pretty in my snowflake room this year!!

It's time to get back in the studio and make some more fun things to share this month.  Be sure and check back this week for more fun ideas from everyone one the Ruby Rock-it team and have a fun and really crafty week getting ready for Christmas!

Christmas Wedding Magic

Christmas Wedding Magic

Hello there, Ruby Rock-It Fans!  Erin here with you today, and I have a wedding layout to share with you of when my daughter was a flower girl for my cousin's magical Christmas wedding!

Huge thanks to Becky Fleck and Pagemaps for supplying the awesome inspiration from her December sketches!

I absolutely love our new Hearts and Stripes papers!  These gorgeous shimmery papers with their sweet hearts on one side and fabulous bold stripes on the other, is such fun to create with!  I chose the silver and gold here, and mixed it with our beautiful Bella! florals, Fundamentals tags, Sparkly Alphas, and our Bella! pearls.

Layering is something I just love to do, on pages, journals, off the page projects and more!  Pairing the heart doily and some ribbon among our papers and pearls makes me very happy!

Thank you for stopping by and making Ruby Rock-It a part of your creative day!

Be back Friday with a fabulous treat from Teresa!

Holiday home decor with Christine

Ruby Rock It Inspiration Banner

My oh my where has the year gone...can you believe it's December already? Having daughters around the house I'm constantly reminded about all things Christmas. When are we getting the tree, when are we going to wrap the presents, when are we going to see Santa, etc., etc. There is the one question that inspired me to create: mom, when are we going to bake cookies for Santa? Surprise SantaChristine Santos

This year, Santa will be getting 5 little boxes of treats with his glass of milk. The girls are very pleased with them & this got them more excited about baking the cookies. 006Christine Santos

I adhered the surprise word from Fundamental's Sentiments Wood Veneer Pack on the milk bottle. It's super simple & effective. 007Christine Santos

The boxes have been cut with Sizzix's Box & Lid Scoreboards Die. You couldn't get a more suitable Christmas paper combination which I used with the lids of the boxes: Marsala & Lucite Hearts & Stripes Papers by Bella. It's already foiled for you too. 012Christine Santos

When you open the lids you can see the pretty hearts underneath. Seals from the Year In Review Sticker Sheet are layered on top of the lids, & on top of the seals are letters from the Industrial Chipboard Alpha sticker sheet. A little glitter is added around the seals for an extra touch of Christmas. The boxes are from Fundamental's Silver Cardstock Pack. Here's a quick product recap:Hearts & Stripes (Marsala & Lucite); Fundamentals Silver Cardstock Pack; A Year In Review Seals Cardstock Sticker Sheet; Industrial Chipboard Alpha Sticker Sheet; Fundamentals Sentiments Wood Veneer Pack Now I get, what flavor cookies are we going to bake for Santa? Chocolate chunk cookies, perhaps? Thanks for dropping by, & do check out the pretty Hearts & Stripes range here. Cheers,

Christmas Crafting with Beckie

Christmas Crafting with Beckie
Good morning!
With Christmas just around the corner I've been starting to make some little gifts for people.
I had seen a beautiful box over on {Diana Clew's blog} and had wanted to make it myself, psst she has a wonderful picture with the measurements on.
Products Used
The little owls on the branch are from the Happy Days 3D stickers and add some nice dimension to the front.
I used the Bella! Paper Floral flowers which were flat when they came out of the package so I carefully folded each one down the centre and scrunched them to give depth.
I used the beautiful Hearts and Stripes paper to make the box as I loved the way the foiled paper shines through the bottom.
This could be filled with so many things that will just pop out the bottom and give anyone a nice treat this Christmas!
Happy making this holiday season!

Mini Theme | Family Memories love

Mini Theme | Family Memories love

Today for the Ruby Rock-It blog, I have been playing with one of the new mini themes. This kit is the Family theme. I started out this about with a photo in mind of my two youngest children, but when I went to print it, it was far too blurry, so I changed to this photo of my daughter, and used the elements in the kit selectively to make the same kit work for a slightly different theme.
I have used a combination of papers, 3D stickers and die cut shapes to create this layout. The only thing that was not included in the mini theme, are the flowers and the paint dots, everything else you see here in part of the kit, which as you can see makes it great value.

I used lots of layering to build up the focal paint of the layout. The green butterfly is a 3D sticker, and the other ones were flat die cuts, shaped with my fingernail to create a similar 3D effect.

Die cut frames cut in half go a lot further not he layout. (See the gold foil frame on either side of the photo).

Memory Box | Hearts and Stripes

Memory Box | Hearts and Stripes
Hi Ruby Rock-it fans it's Teresa here on this fabulous Wednesday with a fun share using the new "Memories Mini Theme" paper set and bits of our new Hearts and Stripes collection....

With Christmas right around the corner I thought that it would be a good time to get a few gifts made up for family and friends and all the new mini sets are perfect to get a few of these checked off your list for this year.  For my memories box i used the black hearts and the patterned papers from the Memories set to create a base and cover my box.  Then i traced the subtle blue print onto a shaped chipboard piece that i had in my stash.  And then i used lots of the "Die cuts" and strips of paper to create the top.  There were so many gorgeous pieces to use and it really went together easy.
And since i had lots of left overs i also made this card up using the "Hearts and Stripes" in silver and black and the sentiment is also one of the Die Cuts from the "Memories" set.
And this tag was super easy to make too.  The holidays are the perfect time to get out all those shiny and glitzy papers and the color selection on this set gives you so many options.  I used silver stripe
and then a small piece of the light blue print called "Memories made" for the top.  The once upon a time is from the Memories Dimensional stickers set and all i had to do was stick it down.
Thanks so much for stopping by and if you like it please share with a friend on our facebook :)  Have a great day and check back for more ideas from our design team to inspire you!

Creative Cards | Grateful for you

by Shannon Morgan | November 24, 2015

RRI-11-23, 1, Shannon M. 02-RRCT-_blogg_banner

1. feeling or showing an appreciation of kindness; thankful.
I'm very grateful for so many things each day. This year has brought our family home, it's an especially great year. The kids started at Our Lady of the Lakes and they are thriving, happy, safe and have wonderful, wonderful friends..which is exactly what they needed after living in Georgia. Grateful is a state of mind, a way to be all of the time. Never take for granted what you have, you know the saying...what you're taking for granted, someone else is praying for.
All the heavy aside, I was inspired to create a card using some Ruby Rock-It, that seem very perfect for the time of year, the Thanksgiving feel and all of the fall (now almost winter) weather brings.
You'll see a familiar little character on this card, I keep going back to it, this owl just seems to return to me again and again when using Ruby Rock-It.
You're beginning with a standard 4.25" X 5.5" card base.

This is the time to add the owl, the sentiment and any little touches you'd like to add.

Here is a shot of the card, complete and ready to send off or personally hand to someone you're grateful for!

Lovin Layout | Simply Wonderful

by Christine Santos | November 21, 2015
Lovin Layout | Simply Wonderful

Ruby Rock It Inspiration Banner Thanksgiving Day is not far away, so today I'm sharing a layout which shows what I'm thankful for. When my first daughter was born, I was scared & unsure of myself...will I be a good mom, will I cope having my family so far away? I didn't realize it instantly, but I suffered from post natal depression days after her birth. At this time I then discovered scrapbooking, doing a page bit by bit with what I can get my hands on. This has really helped me through this stage, & with a massive support from my partner I finally got out of this rough patch. Being creative with my family's photos gives me so much joy. Everyday I'm ever so grateful & thankful for my family & this craft! 037Christine Santos

So here's a page of my first daughter, one of the superstars of my life. I've mixed the Memories Mini Theme & Hearts & Stripes for this layout. The background is the beautiful Memories Made paper & peeking underneath is the Blue Fusion Paper. 038Christine Santos

I've used both sides of the Orchid Hearts & Stripes paper along with the Memory Lane paper behind the photo, matting each layer with Fundamental's Black Cardstock Pack. Some cut out pieces from the Vintage Floral paper has been added as well. 041Christine Santos

For the cluster I've added some pretty die cut pieces from the Memories Die Cut Pack, doily cut out from the Blossom Hearts & Stripes paper, & a Black Bella Floral. 043Christine Santos

Last but not the least is the addition of the gorgeous Blue Bella Fabric Trim & Blue Borderlines Bling, & it's all finished off with some journaling strips. Here's the product recap: Memories Mini Theme; Hearts & Stripes; Blue Fusion; Black Bella Floral; Blue Bella Fabric Trim; Blue Borderlines Bling; Fundamentals Black Cardstock Pack I hope you enjoyed my post today. Be thankful everyday & remember, if you really need help all you have to do is to reach out & ask. Thanks for dropping by & don't forget to check out the Bella shop, here.
