Hello Ruby Rock-It Fans! You're in for a treat today, with our guest, Cheryl Waters! She has created a beautiful tutorial for you, on how she created her art journal!
Happy Crafting, and huge thanks to Cheryl for her beautiful creation!
This is just one one place setting for our meal. I can't wait to see the entire table all set.
Hi Ruby Rock-it fans-- it's Teresa here today to share a layout i did of my new nephew that was just born last month. New babies in the family are so much fun and this new mini line of papers was super easy to use to make the page.
We are so very excited, to introduce our November Guest designer...
Let's find out a little about this very creative soul...
I am a wife, mother, law enforcement officer by day, mixed media artist and teacher, vintage collector, beach loving, writer, grateful, Survivor (of cancer), God and country loving gal who enjoys connecting with others by sharing life and art. While a country girl at heart (roots are from the South, I was born and raised in beautiful Southern California (‘the OC’).
I currently teach at Brave Girl University, the next chapter of a beautiful movement by Melody Ross and Kathy Wilkins. I was a part of the original Brave Girl Camp and have enjoyed sharing on-line classes with a hopeful and encouraging message. My new course is titled, “Embrace Yourself”. Melody, Kathy, myself and 40 plus other well-known and inspiring artists teach on this beautiful platform all for an amazing one time fee. My course . . . Art Journaling to the max while learning to love ourselves in our own skin. More here . . . http://bit.ly/1gFrjfX
In the past, I cherished being a part of a grassroots movement – the Fiskateers (Fiskars – the Orange handled Scissor Company) when I served as a lead/founding craft ambassador, party planner, product developer, manager of community, speaker, and fire starter. That’s when I met my dear and precious Brave Girl Sisters!
I enjoy sharing a bit of my story on a regular basis with Stampington’s many lovely publications by writing articles and creating. Most recently, my heart is full of gratitude to be a survivor of breast cancer (2 ½ years). I hope to encourage and educate others by what I’ve learned through this journey. I’ve enjoyed contributing artwork to the American Society of Oncology as well as sharing as a spokeswoman for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
We all have a story to tell. I look so forward to watching yours unfold as you create on your canvas of life! I know I’ll be touched by the unique colors and brushstrokes of your journey! Thank you for having me here on the Ruby Rock-It site. Oh how I love me some RR. Warmest creative wishes!

The holidays are coming ♥
I can't wait for "Elf" to air on television, it's one of my favorite movies. I like to watch it on tv. I know I could easily watch it on a dvd or Netflix, but there's something very "holi-day-ey" about catching it on tv.
I created something a little different this time around using some very cool Ruby Rock-It Hearts and Stripes.
With the help of my Silhouette, I created a framed piece, it could hang on a wall, or be part of a holiday display on the mantle.
I used a quote from Elf, and cut out different fonts and used an 8X10 frame for the jumping off point.
Ruby Rock-It also has some great card making supplies that I used for this project as well. I used a few different fonts and patterns, then I pieced the phrase together. There are a few stamped images tucked here and there. I have also added Ruby Rock-It Happy Days Droplets throughout:
Here's a close up on some of the cheery "Hearts and Stripes":

Here's to the holidays! Thank you for letting me share with you!
Good day. Christine here sharing an Autumn inspired friendship card featuring the new super pretty foiled Hearts & Stripes collection from Bella. These papers are a must have in your craft stash! They're super versatile & today I'll show why I love these yummy papers. Autumn colors are very inspiring & in this card I've thrown some gold with the Gold Hearts & Stripes, using both sides of the paper.
How awesome is the gold foil, right? It really complements the warm & bright colors of Autumn. This card is actually from pages of a mini chipboard album that I have left over. Once it is given to someone special, she's more than welcome to transform it to a mini album just by adding papers/cardstock pages inside.
The key, frame & sentiment are from the Memories Mini Theme Die Cut Pack. Lots of gorgeous die cuts in this pack are silver foiled just like the oval sentiment on the card. Layers of Silver & Gold Bella Florals & Flourishes have also been layered among the diecuts.
So what makes the new Hearts & Stripes paper special? Not only is it deliciously shiny, but the white stripes also acts as a resist pattern! Yep...you can add your own personal touch to these papers just like the way I added ink for this card. Think of all the colors, doodling, stamping, stenciling & other ways you can transform these Hearts & Stripes!!! Here's a recap of the Bella products: Gold Hearts & Stripes; Memories Mini Theme Die Cut Pack; Silver & Gold Bella Florals; Brown Floral Flourish Thanks so much for dropping by, & I hope you enjoyed my post today. Don't forget to get your hands on Bella's Hearts & Stripes paper here. Cheers,
