Lovin Layouts | Fall in love

Lovin Layouts | Fall in love
Back in the October when Autumn was beginning, we took a break up to one of our favourite places in Scotland .... The Cairngorm National park.  This place is filled with hidden treasures and while out walking we stumbled across this beautiful look out over a few lochs that we have visited before. I loved the colours of Autumn beginning to show in the valley below and the way my daughter just kept looking out while perched on top of the crags.
Products Used
I used the hearts and stars Blue Daze paper for my background as I loved the colour and the wee hearts really show how much we adore finding places like this.

The Happy Days papers and die cut sentiments fitted perfectly too along with the Fundamentals wood veneer adding again little touches of what you are wanting to say about the photo but not detracting from it.
The clear sentiment stickers are a firm favourite of mine and can be used to add simple statements.  Here I used some to border the edge of one of the corners.  They are so simple to add to any of your crafts.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a good one.

Grateful for new traditions

by Alicia Barry | November 14, 2015
Grateful for new traditions
This year,  I am excited to have some friends coming over for a Thanksgiving dinner with a bit of an Australian twist (Turkey dinner with pavlova desert among other things...and yes I know that pavlova is technically Kiwi).
I have been having fun getting on board with the American traditions, using my Ruby Rock-It supplies to help me out.

This is just one one place setting for our meal. I can't wait to see the entire table all set.

These paper pumpkins are certainly nothing new, but I was excited to see how one would look made from the new Hearts and Stripes range.  I also paired this with some glittered paper from the Dancette range.
I hand drew the leaves to co-ordinate with the pumpkin, and made a matching utensil pocket from a brown paper lunch bag. I used twine from Maya Rd on both projects along with tired paper strips to simulate the tendrils on the pumpkin vine

Sweet Baby Love

by Teresa Horner | November 12, 2015
Sweet Baby Love

Hi Ruby Rock-it fans-- it's Teresa here today to share a layout i did of my new nephew that was just born last month.  New babies in the family are so much fun and this new mini line of papers was super easy to use to make the page.

To make this page you will need the B side of the "Baby Boy Montage" paper for the base.  And on top of that i cut a piece of the new "Bella Hearts and Stripes Foiled cardstock" in a large rectangle and then a smaller one with the foil for the left side.  Then i used lots of the borders and the word stickers from the "Baby Boy precious" paper.  You will also need some of the pieces from the
"Boy Die Cut Pack".  These i used for the birth announcement and for the pretty glittery starts and banners up at the top.
And because i love all those packets of wood veneers i put a few of starts on the page too.  I love adding texture to my pages i stenciled a little modeling paste on the top and bottom to give it a little more pizzaz!!  I love that product because it gives it a bit of a transparent look.
Thanks so much for stopping over today and hope you picked up a little inspiration to make up something for you new baby boy with this line too.  Have a fun and scrappy day!

Beyond The Page | Christmas Cheer

by Shannon Morgan | November 10, 2015

RRI 11-9-15, Shannon M.02-RRCT-_blogg_banner

“The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!”

The holidays are coming ♥

I can't wait for "Elf" to air on television, it's one of my favorite movies. I like to watch it on tv. I know I could easily watch it on a dvd or Netflix, but there's something very "holi-day-ey" about catching it on tv.

I created something a little different this time around using some very cool Ruby Rock-It Hearts and Stripes.

With the help of my Silhouette, I created a framed piece, it could hang on a wall, or be part of a holiday display on the mantle.

RRI6 11-9-15, Shannon M.

I used a quote from Elf, and cut out different fonts and used an 8X10 frame for the jumping off point.

Ruby Rock-It also has some great card making supplies that I used for this project as well. I used a few different fonts and patterns, then I pieced the phrase together. There are a few stamped images tucked here and there. I have also added Ruby Rock-It Happy Days Droplets throughout:

Creative Cards | The heart of friendship

by Christine Santos | November 7, 2015

Ruby Rock It Inspiration Banner

Good day. Christine here sharing an Autumn inspired friendship card featuring the new super pretty foiled Hearts & Stripes collection from Bella. These papers are a must have in your craft stash! They're super versatile & today I'll show why I love these yummy papers. Autumn colors are very inspiring & in this card I've thrown some gold with the Gold Hearts & Stripes, using both sides of the paper.

 Friendship CardChristine Santos

How awesome is the gold foil, right? It really complements the warm & bright colors of Autumn. This card is actually from pages of a mini chipboard album that I have left over. Once it is given to someone special, she's more than welcome to transform it to a mini album just by adding papers/cardstock pages inside. 003Christine Santos

The key, frame & sentiment are from the Memories Mini Theme Die Cut Pack. Lots of gorgeous die cuts in this pack are silver foiled just like the oval sentiment on the card. Layers of Silver & Gold Bella Florals & Flourishes have also been layered among the diecuts.

007Christine Santos

So what makes the new Hearts & Stripes paper special? Not only is it deliciously shiny, but the white stripes also acts as a resist pattern! Yep...you can add your own personal touch to these papers just like the way I added ink for this card. Think of all the colors, doodling, stamping, stenciling & other ways you can transform these Hearts & Stripes!!! Here's a recap of the Bella products: Gold Hearts & Stripes; Memories Mini Theme Die Cut Pack; Silver & Gold Bella Florals; Brown Floral Flourish Thanks so much for dropping by, & I hope you enjoyed my post today. Don't forget to get your hands on Bella's Hearts & Stripes paper here. Cheers, key

Creative Cards | New Hearts and Stripes

by Beckie Dreyer | November 5, 2015
Creative Cards | New Hearts and Stripes
Have you seen the gorgeous papers from Ruby Rock-it's Bella! Hearts and Stripes collection?  I have been creating with them this week along with the Happy Days paper range to create some thank you cards.
Products Used
These lush papers are double sided and on one side you get a paper filled with cute little hearts while the other side shines with foil stripes in the same colour.  This next card 'Thanks Berry Much' shows you the 'Lime' version
I really love this shape of heart and they are similar to the little wooden hearts in the Fundamental packs.  The stripes give a nice shiny border to the bottom of the card.
For the next card I wanted to show you how gorgeous the foiled stripes are so used them as my main background for the card.  The 'Vanilla' foiled strips and the 'Sapphire' work so well together.  Who doesn't like blue and brown together!?
This next card uses some of the left over pieces I had cut to make the other cards.  The papers tear beautifully leaving a white edge which gives the papers are lovely layered edge. I used some of the lime paper to die cut some leaves to go behind the tag.
I do think you'll love these papers when you get a chance to get some!  We'd love to see your creations and what you create with them.
Have a great day!
