Ruby Rock-It

A Sweet Birthday Gift Box & Card | Carnival Queen style!

by Ruby Rock-It Bella! Fundamentals | March 13, 2013

Hello Ruby Rock-it fans!  It's Erin here today with you, hope you have been enjoying our Spring and Birthday celebration!

Our oldest is a Spring baby, so I decided to create a little gift box and mini card booklet for her!

The top of the gift box has a little gift card holder, origami style, which I will share with you in just a bit!  The box we recycled, as it was an old art pencil box...and now, it will hold the card and treats inside and her gift on the outside!

I love all the beautiful embellishments, cards, stickers, word stickers, party picks and more than come in this range!!!  And I added in some of our beautiful bling and trims!

Our family likes to write alot inside our cards, so here, I have combined two of our Fundamentals embossed cards into one!  Simply layer one inside the other, punch holes and attach with ribbon!

Next, I will show you how to create the origami gift card holder:

This can be any size you wish, I started with a 7in by 7in piece of paper:

Fold at the diagonal and score.

Next, you will score at the 3 1/4 in line, from both sides.

Open back up, and fold on scored lines...

And then fold in the center, at the score line...

And voila!  You can use it for any project, or attach to the top of your gift!
