An elegant wedding gift box for the perfect couple

Hi Everyone and it's so nice that you dropped by today to see what is new on the Ruby Rock-it blog. Today i have a fun project to share with all of you that i did with a recycled Twinings tea box and a bag that i had in my stash.  I have a friends wedding coming up in April so i thought i would get to work on a cute little box for a gift card for them and a pretty bag to put it all in.  It didn't take much time at all with the beautiful " Bella Betrothed" paper collection.  It's gorgeous and has both gold and silver details so there was so much that i could do with it.

To start my project i measured all the sides of my empty box and cut papers to fit them as you see above.  For the top i used one of the tags and cut it down and then die cut a piece of the gold paper and layered the perfect couple circle that i die cut to make the edges perfectly round.  For the circle piece i also cut another circle the same size in white card to make it thicker and glued them together to make it stand out a bit more.  Then i glued all of it on carefully to the sides and let it dry.

Then i added a pretty gold dotted sheer bow and a few white flowers to the top.  And i found this beautiful gold bling flourish design that fit perfectly on the front to finish it. It is so pretty!!

Here is a closeup of the circle design.  It's really gorgeous and so elegant!

And for the inside of the box i cut a few pieces of the same paper and then i am going to fill it with some crumbled white paper and a gift card for them.  Maybe even a tiny frame too with their picture.

And this is the closeup of the matching bag that i made.  I used just a small piece of the left over border paper to make the base and then i cut one of the tags and matted it with white and attached it over the top of the borders.  The pretty sentiment is also one of the tags but i fussy cut the rest of the design off and trimmed the ends and then glued it over the top of all of it with 3D foam squares.
Then to finish it i added the other gold flourish bling piece to the bottom and tied a pretty gold bow to the handle with another one of the pretty white flower blooms.  Ta da!!  And it was so easy....
Recycling old boxes is fun and makes your project go that much faster so check around the house today and see what you can make new and let your creative juices flow!!  Happy Tuesday...
