Ruby Rock-It

Baby Door-hanger

by Cindy Walker Stevens | August 24, 2013

Hello, Everyone!

Cindy here today to share a post using Ruby Rock it's My Romance Wedding themed papers a little bit differently.

As soon as I saw the pale blues and pinks, all I could think of was how great these papers would look on a baby project.

My door hanger is made up of a 3x3" chipboard book, cut apart. I trimmed my squares down and adhered with UHU stick glue (you might want to run a brayer over the sheets once adhered to make sure there are no air bubbles). I then used a sanding file and evened off the rough edges. Then I set to work on the backside; matching my papers up. I used a crop a dile and punched holes on my squares (I just eyeballed mine but you can measure if you think they might not be even).

I then ran some Bella sheer white organza ribbon through the holes and tied in a bow on the front. I then set to work adding my chipboard & embellishments. (I adhered the chipboard with Zip Dry for a strong, fast bond).

I had to trim one of my Scrap FX chipboard frames down to make it fit and love the added depth it gives my little project once I re-adhered it onto the frame base (see top square).

I finished my project off with some bella bling used for my birdie's eyes & to accent the flourish on the frames.
