Christmas inspired packaging by Teresa

Hi everyone and welcome to the blog.  I am really excited about my post today because i had so much fun making all the projects and they were so easy to do.  I love to use borders on projects so i thought it would be fun to create lots of Christmas packaging and a few other things too while i had all of my goodies out to create.  Grab a cup of tea and join me for a little Christmas inspiration....

To make these projects you will need the following supplies:
Mini doilies in red, tan and white
Mini bows in white, black and dots
Adhesive, paper trimmer, scissors, bottle caps, 3D foam squares, gold and red glitter
Clear acetate pillow box, chipboard ornament, paper bag, clear acetae A-2 box,
silver bottle caps and a clear magnetic frame to put on the fridge.
So for first few projects i got out a clear acetate pillow box and created a simple border with gold corrugated paper, red glitter paper, ribbon and one of the circles in the borders.   You can also use the borders by cutting them up like i did with the bag and the ornament.  Use smaller pieces and the ric- rac borders to make pretty little groupings and add ribbon and bling to jazz them up a bit.  These are great little projects for little ones to give to family and teachers and you can enjoy very special time with them during the holidays sharing cookies and fun stories.

Here is a closeup of the pillow box.  It's super easy but all the pretty intricate details in the papers and all the other things really make it look extra special....
In the package of borders you get 10 different styles so it was so fun to mix and match them together to make all these fun things.  On the top left i used a clear acetate magnetic frame and created a simple strip border at the bottom with a doily, the trees and the red ric-rac.  All i needed was one of the little sentiment circles that are in the border set and a cute little white bow to finish it.
For the candy cane box i cut a strip of the red corrugated paper and then matted in on white paper.  I glued that around the A-2 Clear box and then added a pretty polka dot christmas bow.  You could even add a pretty white embossed tag to say just for you!
And lastly I had some leftover circles from the borders so i cut them up and trimmed around them just a little and then glued them on bottle caps with 3D Foam tape as shown in the photo.
These would be adorable as pins or fun decorations to use on pages or cards.  I really love how these came out and they didn't take any time at all.  And best of all it was fun!
If you decide to do them as pins you could seal the fronts with glossy accents or decoupage.
Thank you so much for stopping by today and hope i inspired you to make up some special gifts for your family and friends this holiday season ...  Happy Holidays!
