Countdown to Christmas...almost there

by Alicia Barry | December 22, 2013

Here in Australia, it's only 3 more sleeps to go before Christmas. We have a wonderful tradition in our neighbourhood of a Santa float that takes kids on rides through the local streets, while the neighbours get together to have street parties on Christmas Eve. I thought these little lolly bags would make lovely little neighbour gifts. They are super easy to make thanks to the 25 Days of Christmas collection.

Xmas lolly bags

I have made three different examples, but you could literally make at least a dozen with this paper pack, probably more.  For each of the bags, I have used a different element from the collection. This one is made using the die cut elements. I layered the flowers together for dimendsion, and  added ribbon to the candy cane. The holly leaves were also shaped for dimension. This bag can literally be done start to finish in about 5 minutes.

For this next one, I have used the glittered layered chipboard accents. You don't have to do a thing to these, they are already perfect. For the backgropund I used a Spellbinders label, folded over to make the base for my elements. I sprayed it with Cottage Ivy and Lady Bug Fireworks spray along with some Sheer Shimmer Spritz from Imagine Crafts by Tsukineko, our generous partner company this month.

For the final bag, I fussy cut elements from the patterned papers, and added them to another Spellbinder die cut as the base. Again I used Tsukineko products to add colour to the die cut.

So there you have it. If you thought you were completley out of time, think again. You still have time to make these, they will take you no time at all, but everyone will think you are awesome.
