ECT | Life Album | October

Hi All,
Today we show case Caylee's approach to memory documenting. Caylee’s personal blog is trickled with a lot of creative examples to document your weeks or months, both pocket documenting and mini albums, so hop on over for some additional inspiration and eye candy and be sure to let her know you have visited.
Here’s to crafting a great life.
My mom is visiting me tomorrow and taking me for a mini spa getaway. Just over a year ago, she visited me and took to me Rome. Now, one is clearly better than the other, but moments with just my mom and I are something magical. It's not often that we get them because of my dad and sister, and now because of my husband being part of the family, but when we do, I treasure those times. I made a little mini book of the time we went to Rome for a present for her.

I took this cover photo from an image on Pinterest because I didn't have my own image that really encapsulated the entirety of Rome. That's okay, it's just for personal use.

I took this map from Pinterest too.

This was my first time using washi tape to bind the album together. I usually use my Crop-a-dile punch, add some twine, and I'm good to go. This was a bit more labour intensive, it held the book quite loosely, and the dotty gold was a bit distracting, but it was nice trying something new. I just probably won't be in a hurry to do it this way again.
I made this book focused on my mom. Unlike me, who'd rather get really great photos of the attractions, my mom would rather have photos with her in them to remind herself that she once got to see this stuff.
It's just something small, and only took me a little bit of time, but I know my mom will love it.

Products used: East Coast journal cards + mini alpha stickers
Hello! Quick share today: My Life Album spreads are all about two weeks of us moving from one apartment to another :)

There was too many things to do around the house to even go out and have fun at the end of the day. First hours of each day we were spending at work. When we came back we were unpacking and cleaning. Two weeks in a row!
Finally I cough a cold and worked from home for two days. We also had a guests from Ireland (my sister and her family) but there was not enough time to enjoy their visit (they were also in the run all the time), so I didn't even take one picture of my nephew, meh.
One thing that gives me power these days is preparing food. We even found one evening to enjoy some cooking classes (French cuisine) that I bought a long time ago. We were serving a duck (con fit/confit? :P) with 2 delicious sauces. And for the dessert we learnt how to prepare crème brûlée! This was four hours of fun! Cooking and eating - definitely one of my favorite activities lately :)
And this is it! What about Your Life Albums? Are You up-to-date?
