ECT | Take Two Traditional Scrapbooking with Caylee & Aimee

I struggle with sketches at the best of times, this months sketch was more challenging than many pervious months so I did what I always do when I am struggling. I stripped it back to the bare minimum and worked from there.  You can never go wrong with a white cardstock base. From there I went about picking paper for the middle band. As I was flipping thought the collection I got the idea to use the lined paper and turn the piece in to more of an art journaling activity, a totally new concept for me, from there it all kind of fell in to place

There wasn’t a lot of room for a title but the small sliver thickers worked perfectly – so that pretty much dictated the colour theme.

I hope you have enjoyed this brief look in to my album.

I loved the grid of November's Take Two sketch. It was perfect for the theme of the month - work - with its structure and normalcy.
Because work for me has turned away from pencil skirts and huge wooden office desks, I kept the structure and allowed the colours in the cards, and the photos themselves to show the "fun" part of my work. Because I work for myself, I'm allowed notebooks with silly phrases things on them, business meetings at the park, and coffee shop pow-wows.
Ever since I started my own business, work is now my favourite part of the day.
