Ruby Rock-It

Girly Frame

Vellum has lots of uses, but did you know it can be used to alter a wood frame? I thought I would give it a try because it would give a frame a nice girly look for my 7 year old's room. I adhered the Fundamentals A4 Circles Vellum to a wood frame:

Then I punched small butterflies from the Fundamentals A5 Dots Vellum and dipped the edges into embossing ink and then into embossing powder:

Holding the vellum butterfly down with the tip of my scissor I used a heat tool to melt the embossing powder:

Be careful heating the vellum because if you get too close or heat for too long, the vellum may get a bit singed. But I really like how heating the vellum melted a bit to make it keep the shape of the wings in flight:

And finally adhered the butterflies to the vellum covered frame along with lots of Bella! Bling and some Ruby Rock-It twine.

Very girly, don't you think? Perfect for a 7 year old's room!
