Glittery Wedding Invitation Boxes

Hello everyone. I've got a colorful post to share with you today which features Bella's Glittered Cardstock range, Bella Bling and Ranger Tim Holtz's Mini Distress Inkpads. My friend has kindly asked me to make her exploding box wedding invitations and of course I took the challenge. I made a lot of these and the main challenge for me was the volume of this project, because I do not compromise on layers and details and I want it to be perfect for the soon to be wedded couple.

Bella Glittered Cardstock: Gold, Lavender, Ocean, Blueberry Bella Bling: Fireworks, Small Borderlines Ruby Rock-It Stamps: Faded Empire Clear Stamp Set

Her wedding flowers and color theme is a mix of rich blues and purples, and her main invitation requirement is that it has to be sparkly and must have bling. I took all these into consideration and added some touches of gold for a regal look.

The base of the exploding box is blue cardstock and purple for the lid. I then gold embossed the dark purple layer on the top and the sides of the lid with the gorgeous set of Faded Empire Clear Stamp set - one of my favourite Ruby Rock-It stamps.

I also embossed the light blue layer on the base of the box with the same stamp and application. My stamp platform and heat gun sure had a workout creating these bejewelled boxes.

I've inked the edges with Ranger Tim Holtz's Mini Distress Ink Pads and Mini Ink Blending Tool. They have a handy Storage Tin available as well which can store 12 Mini Distress In Pads. I like the tin's portable, convenient size and clear cover. Ranger Tim Holtz Mini Distress Ink Pads: Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet Ranger Tool: Mini Ink Blending Tool

I've die cut and punched all the Glittered Cardstock, layering them in between the embossed papers and the Purple Fireworks Bling. For extra sparkle on top, I punched a small circle from the Gold Glittered Cardstock and then topped it with a clear glass cabachon on top.

This box opens up into an invitation with a candle in the middle of the box. I kept the gold glittery stand fairly high to elevate the candle, and then surrounded it with punched corners and a glittery flower on one corner. Now all I need to do is to add the printed information on each square inside the box. I love the mix of rich, beautiful glittery colors and I'm so glad that my friend loves it as much as I do. I'm really excited and happy for her. Thanks for stopping by and I hope I've inspired you with Bella's Glittered Cardstock and Bling range. You can check them all out HERE.

The Ranger Tim Holtz Mini Distress Ink range will soon be exclusively available from a Spotlight store near you. They are very handy and I'll be back again this month for more Distress Ink inspiration.
