Glitzy Halloween Banner

Glitzy Halloween Banner

It is only a few days til Halloween and here in the States, it is a huge event. It is to fun to drive around the streets and see pumpkins and decorations outside so many houses. It's not too late though to make this quick and fun piece of decor for Halloween night using the Glitz glitter card.

To create this banner, I simply worked in layers. I cut large rectangles from purple card stock, and cut a notch into the bottom. I then mounted this onto black card stock, and cut the same shape with a border of about a cm on each side. Tip: Use liquid glue, then put the panels under something heavy to dry. The glitter takes a little extra to stick.

I cut the green layer with a die cut. Tip: it worked better to out the cutting blade on the glitter side of the card stock, and run it through the machine twice to be sure. I adhered these with big foam dots.

The gold chipboard letters are from the Faded Empire collection. While these are self adhesive, I felt they needed a little of extra stick, so I added liquid glue also.

Finally I just added some Bella! Florals and ran some black twine through holes int he top of each panel, and there you have it. Super simple to create, but big impact with all that glitter. Not all projects have to be super complicated to look great.
