Lovin Layouts | Family Time

by Teresa Horner | July 11, 2015

Hey Ruby Rock-it fans it's "Lovin Layouts" day here on the blog and i have a super easy page to share with all of you that i know you are going to love.  There is nothing in this world better than a good pair of well worn jeans to wear-- so i found one of my favorite family photos i needed to get scrapped that had a denim theme going on and had a go at it with these gorgeous papers that matched.

The paper line i used for my page is called Oriental Chic and it has 2 sides to each page so i really had fun mixing this one up.  My basic pieces are simple rectangles that i layered under the photo and tore, sanded and inked them up to distress them like my jeans.  I love that all the colors really made the photo pop more and the tiny embellishments added the perfect touch to it.  For my page i used Collectibles, Sakura, Zen Garden, Resplendent, Miscellanea, Hanae on the back sides.

Here is a closeup of the Die Cut embellishments and the Die cut tags that i used for it.  I really love those pretty butterflies in the set.
And what's a page these days without added a little more texture and maybe a bit of spray?  I pushed a little Deco Art Media Texture Sand through a dot stencil for mine to match the colors in the paper and i also found a splatter paint from Spellbinders that matched the blue too and added that around all the sides of the photo.  It was super fun to make and will look great in the frame that i have for it to go on my wall.  Thanks so much for stopping over and have fun creating whatever you do :)
