Ruby Rock-It

Meet the team - Amanda Jones

Sml

Hi everyone! I'm a 32 year old mother of one cheeky boy, living in the English countryside. I love all kinds of papercrafts, but my heart will always be most loyal to scrapbooking. I have been scrapbooking in the format we currently know since my son was born 9 years ago. I have always loved writing, photography and paper products, and have dabbled in various crafts over the years. Scrapbooking is the creative outlet I found that combines all of my passions!

Space

This is my official crafting space - the utility room off my kitchen. I took this photo just after finishing a project. Yep, it's a mess! But more realistic, right?! I do tidy up afterwards though, I have to have everything back in it's place before I can start something new. Most of my supplies are stored in this room, but I have pockets of craft product all over the house, including in the kitchen and living room. Most of the time I grab the supplies I want and create on my living room floor. I don't like being shut away when I create and that is why I don't need a big fancy craft room.

Cards full

My favourite Ruby Rock-it project is actually the one that Rachel shared when she announced the DT, here. But seeing as you've already seen that one, I'm sharing these birthday cards. It was when I was making these cards that I realised how much I loved the products. This is where I let you into a little secret... I hate making cards! OK, I don't hate making cards per se, but I am rarely happy with how cards I make turn out. When I made these I also made several others, and they all just worked. Gotta love product that makes life easy, huh?

Delight LO

This layout is one of my current favourites. Look at the goofy look on my son's face! He was super excited to meet one of our UK Olympic athletes at school, a real highlight for my sports-mad boy.

Sailor

If I had to describe my style, I'd call it eclectic. I have a definite case of 'multiple scrapping personality disorder'. One thing you will find on 99% of my pages, however, is white space.

Thanks for stopping by to say hello! Come back tomorrow to meet the lovely Rebecca Keppel!
