Merry Christmas

Happy Friday, Scrappy Peeps!

Cindy here today, I know we are just getting past Halloween and gearing up for the Thanksgiving holiday stateside but did you know that it's only about 6 weeks until CHRISTMAS??!!?

I like to get a bit of a jump on the holidays, so I am not crazy rushed at the last minute and got started on some cards and gift bags this month.

I always keep a small supply of kraft gift bags in my stash -they are great for gift giving as they work for all occasions - you just need to dress them up a bit of bright and festive tissue paper, ribbon and a gift tag. They are even BETTER to have on hand if you are a paper crafter- measure and adhere some pretty paper to one side of the bag and you have a special, one of a kind wrap for very little extra work and it's a wonderful way to use up those larger paper scraps that we ALL hold onto.

For my project, I measured the front side of my bag (which is roughly 6x9"). I added the Kinda Krafty kraft polka dot pattern and adhered it underneath my red patternand adhered them to each other. I then flipped my adhered sheets over and placed the front of my bag on the WRONG side of my papers and roughly traced the perimeter of the bag onto the sheet and then trimmed. I then added some sturdy two-sided dry adhesive to the pattern paper and pressed it firmly to my bag (I especially like to use strong adhesive for a project I am giving away-I'd hate for it to come apart). I then made a simple tag using Fundamentals kraft tags Bella Christmas paper pack and then tied it to my bag using a simple ribbon & pretty tissue.

Thanks for stopping by!

HUGS & Happy Surfing!
