Mother's Day Exploding Box Card

Hello Everyone!  Trudi with you today sharing a fun exploding box card creation.
With Mother's Day just around the corner, this would make a beautiful card from the heart for the one who is dearly loved and so very special.

Ruby Rock-It! Products:

Felt Flowers, Toadstools, Miniature Fence, Stick On Lady Bug, Ribbon, Decorative Corner Punch, Sticker Sentiment

The box was created from Bella! Kraftastic Glittered Wigwam.  The weight of the cardstock was perfect for creating a great structural base.

To create the box:
Trim the cardstock down to 7" x 12"
Remove 1.5" from one side (don't discard, this will be used to create inserts for the inside of the card)
Score at 2.5" intervals (score marks should be at 2.5", 5", 7.5 and 10")
There now should be 3 intervals measuring 2.5" and 1 that measure 1/2"
Cut along the 1/2" score line 3" down from the top.  Cut horizontally across the 1/2" distance to remove and create a tab.
Cut along the other score lines 3" down from the top.
Score along the cut edges and fold down 3 of the flaps.  The one that is not folded will create the back  support of the card.
Fold flat along all score lines, attach together with some adhesive tape along the created tab edge.

To create inserts:
Trim 1.5" x 7" piece in half.
Score 1/2" in at either end for each piece.
Fold at score lines and attach to the folded sides in the top of the card - these will be used to adhere embellishments to

Now the fun part!
I cut out floral and toad stool elements from Botantical Monatage paper.  I attached to the top of the card flaps and then punched the corners with a decorative corner punch.
Add the larger felt flowers first with the miniature fence and toadstools.
I then attached some more fussy cut elements from the Montage paper - the flowers, fence and toadstools to create a happy garden scene.

Thanks so much for dropping by
Happy Creating!
