Ruby Rock-It

Countdown To Christmas & GIVEAWAY - Day 5 | Cook Layout

by Lisa Novogrodski | December 19, 2012

Hi Everyone! This is my first time posting as a design team girl for Ruby Rock It! Today I am sharing a project I created using the "Cook Line!" I thought just the title of the collection alone was the perfect choice to showcase my "gingerbread cookie" layout!

I used the Cooks "Tokens" Cardstock for my background pattern paper! I loved that the red and white pattern worked so well for a holiday theme project. I used a border punch to distress the outside edges then I cut it apart to make a frame. I trimmed away some of the "Token" paper to make a smaller size and I distressed the edges.

I used the Cooks "diecut pack" and selected some cakes and cookie jars. I trimmed the cookie jars into individual pieces and used adhesive foam blocks to attach to my fussy cut verticle element underneath it.

Ruby Rock It offers so many wonderful embellishments to enhance your pages. Here I used one of the Fundamentals Foiled Sheets, cut apart the word "Mix" and then detailed the edges with Bella Bling Borderlines in Red!

* Tip- layer your embellisments. I layered some of the diecuts to form my cookie jar, topped it with some lace and a title

* Tip- embellish your embellishments- I machine stitched across the little cake die cuts then outlined the "frosting" with some paints

I hope you enjoy my project and leave here feeling inspired!!!
