Ruby Rock-It

Not Very Merry

by Cindy Walker Stevens | November 24, 2013

Good Morning!

Cindy here today to share a LO I made using the Bella! Christmas Paper packs (version 1 & 2). I love mixing paper lines and these mix beautifully. I warmed up my color palette with some Kinda Krafty (my go-to) papers and chipboard pieces - kraft is really a favourite neutral of mine, it really does go with everything.

I love the trend of adding layers and layers to my pages. These papers are not cardstock (read: a bit thinner) and are just perfect for this trend. They also run through a die cut machine MUCH easier than heavy cardstock. (Designer tip: once you have you papers arranged and stacked how you want them, secure through a common area of the stack with 1-2 staples and adhere the bottom layer only. This saves loads of time AND adhesive!)

Another thing I like to do with my pattern papers is cut them up! If I find an element that I love (like the little tree here) on a sheet, I cut it out and add it to my page. This is a great technique if you are on a budget or like to customize your pages like I do.

I hope I have given you some fun tips to work with.

Thanks for popping by!
