October Crafty Creations

Welcome to our blog! We're super excited to recap on all of the crafty creations we brought to you in October.  This month our featured products were the amazing Tim Holtz Mini Distress Inks.  Our team had a ball creating some really cool projects incorporating these inks into their papercraft masterpieces.  We also introduced our new Just Bead It Seed Bead range soon to be available from Spotlight stores around Australia and NZ.   Our beading designers had fun playing around with these gorgeous beads.  In case you missed them, you can check out their blog posts below along with all the other brilliant projects our design team members completed this month.

Glitzy Halloween Banner by Alicia

To create this banner, I simply worked in layers. I cut large rectangles from purple card stock, and cut a notch into the bottom. I then mounted this onto black card stock, and cut the same shape with a border of about a cm on each side.

Think Pink Panel Display by Christine

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and this has inspired me to create a pink project with Ruby Rock It's fab Bolt collection and Ranger's Distress Mini Inkpads.

Glitter Princess Party by Teresa

When i think of glitter papers i always think of princess parties and all the pretty things that you can make for it when you throw a party for your little girl.  Today i used 2 colors of our glitter paper in pink, white and silver to create lots of fun little things to make your party even more special.  I kind of went a little crazy and had lots of ideas but you can see how easy and fun it is to make things!

Butterfly Wishes by Beck

Hi everyone, Beck Beattie here today with another fun card share.  I just adore the packets of fundamentals butterflies - did you know you get 48 little butterflies in each pack!  How awesome is that!!  Today I wanted to have some fun with the colour of them creating a card that I am sure going to enjoy giving.

Cardmaking Inspiration with Distress Inks by Teresa

All these cards i did in only about an hour.  And--- i just used a few basic supplies to do them so it's something you really can have fun with and be creative with too.  I love Distress inks for so many reasons.  You can use them to stencil, create backrounds, stamp with and also to color your papers if they don't match with what you are doing.

Floral Autumn Francheville Card Set with Tim Holtz Ranger Mini Distress Inks by Alicia

I used the Bella! Champagne Bubbles clear stamp with Ranger Victorian Velvet Distress paint on the background and then heat set. I then applied Ranger distress ink all over the cards in a circular motion using the mini blending tool. I used a combination of pinks, purples, yellow and browns to create this effect. I then used a mini mister to spray water across the card which had a bleaching effect on the Distress ink.

From Me to You | Card Making With Tim Holtz Mini Distress Inks by Beck

Today I'm sharing a card I created teaming up some yummy Bella! products with my Tim Holtz Distress Mini ink pads.  I just love how the combination of the inks with the Bella! products really helped to take my card to the next level.

Stained Kraft Love Card by Christine

It's time to share another Ranger Distress Ink creation alongside Ruby Rock-It Brands, and I'm excited to share with you my stained kraft love card using a brown Distress color palette together with Francheville Basic Cardstock.

Beaded Pen by Chez

I bring you this exquisite beaded pen created from the new Just Bead It Seed bead range.  You can try them in different colour varieties to create unique looks. Today I am using black, white and clear crystal.  An imaginative way to jazz up the humble pen and give away as a gift.

Boho Beaded Mirror by Melody

Today I created a beautiful  boho beaded mirror! What a task it has been - but I really do love the result! I have wanted to make one of these for ages - I bought my mirror several months ago and as I had a bit of time up my sleeve and some new seed beads to play with today was perfect.

Dragon Fly Broach by Chez

Today I bring to you an exquisite red and silver Broach which one could also use for a decorative Scarf Pin as well. I was inspired by the beads to create this so I hope I can inspire you to get busy with your own beading creation.  There is no right or wrong way.  All you need is your imagination and a little patience.

Dark Blue Crystal Set by Melody

Christmas is well on the way and I have started to think ahead for gift ideas so with that in mind, I created this jewellery set with an avant garde style bracelet and a matched crystal bar necklace.
