Our Big Day | A Rustic Wedding Layout

Hi it's Teresa here today to share another page i did with my daughters wedding pictures from last year.  I found this really cute candid picture that they had taken so i thought i would try and use papers to capture the rustic feeling of the place so they would always remember that special day.

Her wedding was out in a garden with big pine trees and flowers so the paper from the "Get Hitched" line and a piece of the "I Wood paper" in brown and blue was the perfect start.  I started by matting the picture in white and then dark brownish black and then a pale grey blue.  Then i took bits of papers that layered under it well on the white back round.  I even had a small piece sentiment paper in black that i tucked under and it was so sweet with all the wonderful things it said on it.  And just to add a little more pizzaz i took a little Frayed Burlap distress ink by Ranger and thinned it down with water and splattered it a few places on the page.

For the title i fussy cut the Our Big Day log off the paper and tucked it under the side with a cute camera sticker i had and another sentiment in kraft.  It's fun to get out lots of things in your stash and see what you can use that you had put away for another time.  This all went together great and it's not even from the same line so save the big pieces ok... and then have fun.
And on the top left i cut 2 strips of paper out of the wood paper and a piece of kraft to put the month and year on.  For this i used the wood veneer letters and the alphabet stickers in white and black.  The wood gives it another fun texture.
And of course i had to add a few pretty flowers and ribbons.   What wedding doesn't have pretty flowers everywhere right?  And of course a little bling border was also fun to add from my stash.
I still have lots more pages to go so check back again for another fun idea next month.
Supply List:
Bella Bling in clear
Card stock in white, dark brown, pale blue and kraft
scissors, paper trimmer, adhesive
Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by today!!
