Paper altering to create fun textures and layers

Hi Everyone, it's Beck BT here today to share with you some paper altering fun!  I just love how versatile paper truly is and I decided to go to town on some of my Fundamentals supplies with exactly that in mind!  Here is the fun page I created.

Products Used:

Having fun with your papers really can help them go further as well - who can argue with that??  I love the design of this page and all the fun layers and textures on it.  I decided to alter my papers in a couple of ways on this page.

For my corrugate cardstock I wanted to give it a more distressed feel by first tearing and then altering the colour of it.

I first applied a coat of gesso to the corrugated cardstock which was nice to show the original colour showing through oh so slightly.  I then added some colour spray over the top randomly to tie into the colours of my page

I took my paper altering to my pattern paper as well

Tearing up your paper whilst ever so scary for some is a great way to lengthen out your supplies.  In this way you are able to tuck the papers under other pieces removing the need to cover large amounts of paper with other layers.  I also love the added texture it adds to the layout

I hope you enjoyed my share today and pop back soon for some more inspiration from the team!
