Pretty in Pink

Pretty in Pink
Today I am sharing some of my latest card projects using the new Fundamentals cardstock. The new card bases come in a range of colours and shapes. They also all have a white core which makes them ideal for embossing and sanding, which is exactly how I created the background for these two samples.  I used Fusion papers for the accents with some bold black florals.
I used an embossing folder first, then lightly sanded over the top until I was happy with the effect.  I used the white circular die cut to separate the patterned papers from the patterned background. I also added a strip of glitter chevron. The colour blended in nicely.

In both of these cards, I cut down one face of the card, then adhered to a white base of the same shape to give a white border, to balance out all that pink.
For this card, I also added some of the new tiny tags as accents. I cut them into two pieces so that I could stretch out the packet a little further.
