Sephrenia Mini-Album Tips

by Sandy Ang | April 15, 2012

Hi it's Sandy. I post my August Moon Chipboard Book last week. You can check it out here. Today I'm sharing tips and tricks with vellum and bling that I used on that project.

Layering is a hot technique right now and layering with Fundamentals Vellum and Transparency couldn't be easier. Everything is in a soft grey so you can create a subtle effect without worrying about colour-matching. Here I framed my photo with a tight check pattern. Then added the "B-sides" of two vellum papers beneath.

Our new Bella Bling comes in fun shapes like crowns and large flowers. You can use them to create definition and dimension on floral papers. I simply cut the Bling shapes to fit into my flower center or an individual petal on the pattern paper.

My final tip is about creating an alpha banner that will add movement and texture to your project. Start with a base layer of trim or ribbon. Next tie short lengths of thread onto your alphas and glue them down onto the base. The threads peaking out make it look like the alphas were hand-sewn which is very a popular look right now.
