Summer Daze

Summer Daze
Today I am sharing a step by step tutorial on how I created this fun Summer Vacation layout. We just arrived home from Hawaii, so I have loads of summery beach photos to scrap. I have used the Summer Daze mini theme for this layout along with some corrugated cardstock. I also used some netting to add to the theme. This was the packaging from some rockmelons (canteloupe) that I just bought.
Starting with white cardstock, lay a spotted circle and apply glitter paste through it.
Lightly spray a combination of light and dark orange paint sprays, both straight from the bottle, and by removing the nozzle from the bottle and allowing it to drip in larger spots across the background.
Tear a wide section of corrugated cardstock and adhere through the lower half of the layout.
Cut the striped section from the bottom of the "Good Times"paper. Cut in half and cut notches into the ends. Adhere as shown with the photo over the top, using foam dots. (Don't adhere too strongly as more elements will tuck under neath.
Under the bottom right of the photo, adhere a fussy cut floral section ("Life is Good" paper back), then some of the netting, then a die cut label.
Adhere a subtitle die cut overlapping the photo with two surfboard die cuts (use foam dots).
Add some starfish die cuts, along with a hibiscus die cut and dimensional sticker. Tuck some yellow florals among the cluster. See the tiny "Splish Splash sticker near the surfboards!
On the top left of the photo, adhere the ain title die cut. Fussy cut another floral piece and tuck under the corner of the photo with another piece of netting tucked under. Add a tiny starfish to the title.
Add another hibiscus die cut and dimensional sticker, along with another yellow floral. Paint some dimensional paint dots under the title.
