Summer Escape | Scrapbook Layout

Happy Friday and thank you for stopping by the Ruby Rock-it blog.  Today i am sharing a page that i did to catch up with my summer projects that i have in the To-Do pile in my crafty room.

In keeping with my "time is very limited theme" I created my simple and easy page with pretty beach styled papers to give my picture that feel of what it might have looked like long ago on Santa Monica beach.  The papers are from the Summer Daze collection and were perfect.  I layered simple shapes and cut up the border to use as a compliment to the wood veneer paper in brown.  I also added some fun sand texture with a stencil and a little splattered paint to look like water splashing.  Pages are a very personal thing and you really can have a lot of fun creating them to keep all those fun memories close to your heart.
I also used the mini alphabet letters in white and the epoxy shapes in pink and clear.  Mixing up lots of pieces from my Ruby Rock-it stash makes it really fast and easy to put together quick pages for all of my pictures that i need to catch up with.

Another fun product that is wonderfu to use for pages are the tiny tags.  They come in lots of colors and can be used just for decoration like i did with my twine or for adding information on your page.  They come in lots of different sizes so that is really nice too.  Be sure and check out all the fun things on the fundamentals section on the website.  I am sure you will find a few fun things to add to your page making stash.
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you get a chance to catch up on a few pages in your stash too.  Enjoy your weekend everyone!!
