That's a Wrap - Farewell 2017

Happy New Year everyone!  I hope you had an enjoyable Christmas with your loved ones.  The festive season came and went in a blink of any eye.    It feels like it was only yesterday that I was sitting here recapping on December 2016.   Getting set for the year ahead.  Now is the time when we start to reflect on where we have been and where we are going in the future.  There are many questions that we ask ourselves but one that may resonate with many of us is What do you want to do more of?  Travel, spend more time with family, have more time for yourself?  What activities and goals aren't getting enough of your time?  Do you want to learn a new hobby?  Would you like to make more time for yourself so you can do the things you enjoy such as arts and craft perhaps?   Do you need more inspiration in life?  Whatever it is, now is the time to set up a plan to make these "wishes" become a reality.

This year we welcomed two beading designers, Chez and Melody to the Just Bead It team.  Their objective was to simply showcase our gorgeous beads in their projects and boy did they nail it.  Their work has been nothing short of magnificent!  How a humble little bead can be transformed into a masterpiece never ceases to amaze!

Our fabulous papercraft designers - Alicia, Beck, Christine and Teresa never disappoint with their awe-inspiring and creative talents.  You could give these girls a brown paperbag and they'd be able to turn it into something truly spectacular.

Throughout December, we jumped into the festive spirit and created countless glittery, sparkly projects aimed to inspire you.  Our featured product was none other than the new Francheville Glitter range and boy did the girls have a field day working with all the gorgeous colours.   We also launched during the latter part of the year the new Just Bead It Seed Bead collection, Francheville Cards and Envelope sets and the ever popular Tim Holtz Ranger Distress Inks.  If you missed any of our blog posts, here is a recap of our December projects:

Christmas Bauble Project - Melody Gillespie

Today I have the perfect last minute Christmas project! These beautiful beaded baubles have been around for ages but are such a fun Christmas craft idea.

Luxurious Earthy Stacked Bracelet - Melody Gillespie

Today I have created an earthy stacked bracelet centred around one of the beautiful strands of beads from the JBH range. The bronzy metals and earthy tones really pop when mixed with the textures of the crystal and pearl beads creating a warm palette and bringing a luxurious feel to this bracelet.

Butterfly Dreaming Neckwear - Chez Mathieson

Hi it's Chez on the blog and I hope you're having a wonderful Christmas day with your family and friends.  Today I would like to share this beautiful turquoise neckwear I call Butterfly Dreaming featuring the JBH beading range from Just Bead-It.

Comet Beaded Wall Hanging - Chez Mathieson

Today I bring you another beaded gift.... This Comet Beaded Wall Hanging was inspired by the space programs that I have seen recently. The Blue/Green is the plasma that surrounds every comet.

His and Her's Christmas Cardset - Christine Santos

We are already halfway through December and I am definitely excited with the Christmas spirit around. Today's glittery share is a masculine and a feminine Christmas card using Francheville's cardstock and glitter set.

Classroom Christmas Gift Tags - Beck Beattie

Hi everyone, Beck Beattie here today sharing a fun idea for little kiddy Christmas gifts using the SO AWESOME Bella! Glitter Cardstock.  If you are anything like me you are running around crazy this time of year and to spend too much time creating little gifts for the kids to give out is something I'm just not up for.  My eldest is great at writing his Christmas cards but my youngest couldn't think of anything worse.  So I decided to get some printables and make the job a little easier for him!

Make A Wish Christmas Card - Beck Beattie

Hi everyone, Beck Beattie here today sharing a little fun I had with the Francheville glitter packs today.  I know I'm going to be making many more of these!  Such an awesome last minute christmas card idea with just a few days to go until Christmas day!!

Santa Sleigh Table Centrepiece - Alicia Barry

A few weeks ago, I created a hanging pinecone wreath to add to my Christmas display. Today, I have created a Santa Sleigh table centrepiece to match.

Let your Christmas Sparkle - Teresa Horner

It is so wonderful that you stopped over today to see what is new with our Ruby Rock-it design team.  We have lots of Christmas ideas for you all month so in keeping with the holidays i have a really quick card to share that i made with the Francheville card assortment in metallic and the Forever Blue Glitter pack.  And as always i get all inspired and just keep creating so i also did a quick snowflake ornament and a glittery box to put a little something in.

Glittery Blue Christmas Tree Star - Christine Santos

I have been putting up Christmas decorations at home with my daughters and they are particularly excited with our Christmas tree. Every year I try to come up with at least one handmade Christmas tree decoration, and this year I created a glittery blue star.

Glittery Christmas Wreath - Teresa Horner

Today i have something really different to share with all of you but it's still keeping with the Christmas theme that we are doing for all of you this month.  We have some amazing glitter packs that you can buy so i thought how fun to upcycle some of my old decorations and make something new and add lots of glitter to make it more festive.

2018 Memory Jar - Alicia Barry

This coming year, I want to change the focus in our house to being more aware of how fortunate we are, and to be grateful for that, so I have created this memory jar.  The idea is that as good things happen throughout the year, they write it on a piece of paper and add it to the jar. At the end of the year, they read about all the good things in their life and with a bit of luck, be grateful for what they have.

Bring on 2018.....

December was one crazy month so I hope January is a little less hectic for everyone.  Use the time to unwind, relax and reflect.  It's the perfect opportunity to start planning the year ahead.  We look forward to another great year of bringing you an abundance of creative and inspirational ideas and have some exciting new products launching earlier in the year.   So stay tuned for that.  Until next month.  Keep on crafting!!
