Tuesday Tutorial | The Art of layering
Hi there Ruby Rock-It fans, Jenifer here with you today to share a little tutorial on how to add a little texture and dimension to your layouts and patterned paper.
This is one of my favorite pictures and I really wanted it to take center stage without it being to simple and boring.  There are a few things that I did to really add some texture to my layout.

Don't be afraid to use some of your mixed media supplies.  Take out the texture paste and a stencil and just go to work.  I did this for each corner adding some fun flourishes to my page.  I also stamped on some vellum with embossing powder and cut around my image making the butterfly look like it is floating off the page.

Add a beautiful cluster of flowers to one corner.  Did you notice that I used some of the Bella packaging on my layout?  I love the packaging and I keep it all just in case I have an opportunity to use it, and it is perfect for this layout.

Layer vellum and a beautiful piece of glittered patterned paper for even more texture and to also give a little pop of color.
I hope you have enjoyed some of my ideas today. Don't be afraid to try something new on your projects, you might just surprise yourself with something amazingly beautiful.
