Ruby Rock-It

More than just a card this Valentines.

Hi, Alicia here in the lead up to Valentines day. This month at Ruby Rock-It, we are hoping to inspire you with all sorts of love themed projects.

I found this little metal container in a junk store recently, and thought it would make a cute little sweets jar. To make it a little more festive, I have made some three dimensional heart shaped pockets with the help of a Spellbinders heart die. Then it was just a matter of adding some beautiful new Bella! trim, and some handmade flowers and there you have it.

To make the heart pockets, I die cut two hearts from Bella! At Last patterned paper. I cut a slit in the valley at the top, then overlapped and glued the resulting flaps. This should create a round shape in the heart. Repeat with the second heart, then adhere the front to the back around the base of the heart, leaving the top open. I could then pop a little chocolate right inside at the top. These were so quick and simple to make and are just perfect as they are, but you could also add a little flower to the front for an extra touch.
