Pretty Easter Banner by Teresa

It's finally spring here in California and all the flowers are in bloom so it's time for me to get a head start on a few decorations for Easter this year for my house.  Today i have a really simple pretty banner that i made with the heart side of the "Hearts and Stripes" paper collection.  It had the perfect colors of spring and i really love how it came out.

Here is the banner pinned up on my fireplace.  It ended up being the perfect size to fit end to end and i think that is the best part about doing your own because you can customize it to fit anywhere.
I tried to keep my banner really simple so to start my project i cut 14 rectangles that measured 5x6 inches.  Then i cut a pattern for the tail in the center and cut each one carefully with scissors.  For the center of each of the banner pieces i cut a white die cut with a Spellbinders die and glued them on with 3D Foam squares.  And for the letters i used the gold glitter letters and spelled Happy Spring leaving a space in between for flower and doilies.
To attach them together i cut a very long piece of white ribbon and used the white mini pegs to attach them to it.  Then i cut lots of pastel ribbons to tie between the pieces like you see above.

Here is a closeup of the doilies and the flowers.  I even found a pretty butterfly in my Ruby Rock-it stash to add a little glitz to it.

And that's all there is to it.  It's super simple but really gives that feeling of springtime to my room.
Well...that and a few bunnies!
Here is the supply list for you just in case:
mini doilies in white
white card stock
Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive
3D Foam Squares
1/4" Pastel Ribbon
Thanks for stopping by and i hope i inspired you to get a few decorations made to make your Easter a really pretty and festive one this year...
