St Patrick's Day Wishes

Hi again and welcome to the Ruby Rock-it blog.  My post today is inspired by the upcoming holiday St. Patrick's Day.  I dug out all my greens and golds and set to work to make something fun to give for lots of chocolate tokens and cookies and even a card to go with it.

One of my favorite lines for Ruby Rock-it is the Hearts and Stripes collection.  On one side you have brilliant metallic stripes in lots of fun colors and the other side is simple yet gorgeous hearts in soft pastels.  For this project i decided to use the bright green for St. Pats and added white, and shades of gold.  All the tiny bits of flowers, tags and doilies were so fun to create with and it went together pretty easily.
For my can i used an old soup can that i cleaned up and covered it with white corrugated paper and then another strip of the metallic green stripe.  Since it is going around a can be sure and use a good adhesive tape to adhere it to the can.
Then i added a green mini doily and tied some jute around it.  And i added a few of the mini tags and the make a wish sentiment to the jute bows.  And to finish it i tucked in a few flowers in gold and white to match.  It's the perfect size to add chocolate coins or some other goodies to give.

And for my Birthday wishes card i used a small green card for the base and some of the same pieces of paper i used for my can.  Then i added a white cardstock die cut from Spellbinders to frame the flowers and the sentiment.  I also added green glitter paper to make the greens pop and glisten and a beautiful jewel swirl in gold.  I really love how this one came out and hope you do too.

And in case you need a supply list:
Sentiment toppers
Doilies
Bitty Bows
Adhesive, scissors, paper trimmer, gold cord,
Spellbinders die, white cardstock and 3D Foam squares.
Thanks so much and I hope your day is filled with fun crafty things to make!
