Hi and welcome to the Ruby Rock-it blog today. I have a really fun and messy/creative share for all of you that love using stencils and glitter. We have some fabulous Glitter glue colors from Francheville out this season so i thought how fun to use them with a stencil and it works so good!
There are so many colors available so you could do this with your kids or get messy and have fun yourself making some gorgeous projects for Valentines this year. Keep reading for a quick how-to!
So to get started you will need some good card stock, a stencil of your choice and some glitter glue. Start by squeezing a little bit out in a row from top to bottom and using a spatula or your finger spread it out like you see above. Use colors that coordinate and do the same process across the stencil. You can smear it between colors to mix it a little better. And the more glitter glue on the top means more glitter glue design for the finished product.
When you are done carefully peel off the stencil from left to right and wha la.... you get this really cool backround to add anything you want to it. To dry the glue i put it in the sunlight and then when it was completely dry i ironed it a little to make it flatter so it was easier to glue to the base pieces.
Then i cut it down to a size i really liked and then matted it with turquoise paper, pink glitter card stock, and then a pink card base. And since it's Valentines soon i die cut a few glitter hearts to fit on the side with glue dots and a pretty ribbon and sentiment. What do you think? Sounds like fun right?
Hope you get a chance to try one of these fun ideas and have an amazing day!
